Paracas and The Nazca Lines

Overview

This tour showcases the Nazca Lines, a mesmerising collection of pictures etched into the ground, considered one of the World’s greatest archaeological mysteries of mankind. Cruise to the nearby Ballestas Islands to see a series of naturally formed arches and caves, a perfect shelter for seabirds and sealions.

Itinerary

DAY 1: PARACAS
This morning you will be met in Lima and transferred by bus to Paracas. On arrival you will be transferred to your HOTEL for your two-night stay.

DAY 2: PARACAS
After breakfast you will be taken on a flight over the Nazca Lines to witness the mystical drawings of stylized plants, imaginary beings and geometric figures. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the geoglyphs are thought to have been made by a pre-Inca civilization between 500 BC and 500 AD and are one of archaeology’s greatest enigmas due to their quantity, nature and size. DAY 3: TRIP CONCLUDES
Today you will cruise to the Ballestas Islands and the Paracas National Reserve, past the coastal rocks which allow panoramic views of the Candelabra of the Andes. After your cruise, you will return to Lima by bus which will mark the end of your tour. (B)
