DAY 1: LIMA
On arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL, where you will stay for two nights. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
DAY 2: LIMA
This morning you will be taken on a tour of Lima’s historic centre. Visit the Aliaga House, the oldest family home in the Americas that’s still lived in today, before visiting the Plaza Mayor (a UNESCO site) and Lima Cathedral. Finish at the Larco Museum, housed in an 18th-century mansion, and packed with pre-Hispanic gold, silver, and ceremonial pieces. (B)
DAY 3: LIMA – CUSCO
Today you will fly to Cusco (flight not included). On arrival at Cusco airport, you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL, where you will spend the next two nights. This afternoon, enjoy a city tour that visits Santo Domingo Convent (built right on top of the Qoricancha Temple), Cusco Cathedral, and four Inca sites just outside the city — Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. DAY 4: CUSCO
Today you will visit the Sacred Valley to see Moray and Maras. Moray is home to unusual circular terraces the Incas probably used for farming. Then there’s Maras, hundreds of salt ponds spilling down the hillside that are still being worked today, just like they were prior to Spanish colonisation. Overnight at your hotel. (B)
DAY 5: CUSCO – INCA TRAIL – MACHU PICCHU
Embark on a train ride to Kilometer 104, where you will cross the Urubamba River and hike up through the cloud forest, stopping at Chachabamba ruins and later at Wiñayhuayna for lunch with a view. Later, enjoy a moment of awe: walking through Inti Punku (the Sun Gate) and seeing Machu Picchu spread out below you. Afterwards, you will be returned by bus to Aguas Calientes for your overnight stay. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
This morning you will be taken on a guided tour of Machu Picchu itself. Visit the House of the Inca, the Temple of the Condor, and the Three Doorways area. Enjoy lunch at Café Inkaterra by the river, before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. Here, you will be transferred by road to Cusco. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B, L)
DAY 7: CUSCO – AMAZON RAINFOREST
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight into the Amazon (not included). From Puerto Maldonado, you’ll be transferred by both road and river into Tambopata National Reserve. Check in to your LODGE for your three-night stay, with the afternoon at your leisure. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: AMAZON RAINFOREST
Enjoy a full day in the rainforest with naturalist guides. Activities include canoeing across oxbow lakes, watching parrots at the clay licks, walking the canopy bridges, or tracking monkeys and other wildlife. (B, L, D)
DAY 9: AMAZON RAINFOREST
Another full day of activities, including but not limited to dawn wildlife watching, visits to local communities or conservation projects, the bio-garden, observation towers, or night walks to see what comes out after dark. Each lodge offers a slightly different perspective of the same protected ecosystem, ensuring a rich and well-rounded Amazon experience. (B, L, D)
DAY 10: AMAZON RAINFOREST
Today you will be transferred by river and road back to Puerto Maldonado airport for your onward flight, bringing your Peruvian adventure to an end. (B)
