Overview

Only one hour by fast ferry from Buenos Aires – Uruguay is the perfect destination for a memorable holiday off the beaten track. Start your tour in the charming UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Colonia before heading to Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo. You will also experience some of the country’s highlights, sampling Uruguayan wine and enjoying a taste of the sophisticated beach life on the Uruguayan Riveria, Punta del Este.

Itinerary

DAY 1: COLONIA
On arrival at Colonia’s ferry terminal you will be met and transferred to your HOTEL.

DAY 2: COLONIA – MONTEVIDEO
Today you will be taken on a walking tour of the old city of Colonia. You will be able to see the quaint cobblestone streets, beach promenade, the old town and museums, before taking the bus to Montevideo. (B)

DAY 3: MONTEVIDEO
Today you will be taken on a sightseeing tour to explore Montevideo’s landmarks, Plaza Independencia, the traditional Prado neighbourhood and the Old City. In the afternoon, visit the vineyards of Montevideo where you will be able to taste the superb Uruguayan wine, Tannat. (B)

DAY 4: MONTEVIDEO – PUNTA DEL ESTE
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Punta del Este, the most popular and exclusive beach area for the locals. En route, you will pass by Piriapolis on the way to the top of San Antonio Hill and see the coastal views it offers. You will visit Casapueblo, in the city, before being transferred to your HOTEL in Punta del Este. (B)

DAY 5: PUNTA DEL ESTE
Today is free to relax, explore Punta del Este or spend some time unwinding at Playa Brava or stroll down Gorlero Avenue. (B)

DAY 6: PUNTA DEL ESTE
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Laguna del Sucre airport, where your tour ends. (B)
