DAY 1: CAIRO
On arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to your overnight accommodation. Two nights at the FAIRMONT NILE CITY. (B)
DAY 2: CAIRO
After breakfast, you will be taken on a tour to visit the most famous sight in Egypt – the great Pyramids at Giza and their guardian the Sphinx. After lunch you will travel to Memphis to see the statue of Ramses II and Sakkara where you will be able to view the Step Pyramid of Zoser I. (B, L)
DAY 3: CAIRO – LUXOR
Early this morning you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport, where you will board your onward flight to Luxor. On arrival, you will be taken to board your 5-star vessel and commence your Nile Cruise. After lunch onboard, you will have an afternoon trip to the Karnak and Luxor Temple. In the evening, enjoy a belly dance show. Spend the next four nights ON-BOARD. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: LUXOR – ESNA
Today you will have an early start to explore the Valley of Kings on the West Bank, the final resting place of many
famous Egyptian rulers such as Hatshepsut, Tutankhamun, and Ramses III. In the evening, enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Cocktail Party. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: ESNA – EDFU
After breakfast you will visit the Edfu Temple, also known as the Temple of Horus (the falcon-headed God). Return to the ship for lunch before visiting Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to Sobek the crocodile-headed god and Horus the falcon-headed god. You will have the opportunity to take part in a Galabeya Party on board the ship. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: ASWAN
After breakfast onboard, you will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and the Temple of Philae. Enjoy lunch onboard before you briefly disembark to sail on a Felucca (a traditional Egyptian sailboat) around Kitchener’s Island and the Aga Khan Mausoleum. In the evening, enjoy a Nubian folkloric show before dinner onboard. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: ASWAN – CAIRO
This morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your domestic flight to Cairo. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Two nights at the FAIRMONT NILE CITY. (B)
DAY 8: CAIRO
After breakfast, your Egyptologist guide will take you on a fascinating tour at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where you can reflect on 7,000 years of Egyptian history. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will have a guided tour of Islamic Cairo including the Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque and Khan El Bazaar where you will have a chance to buy some souvenirs. (B, L)
DAY 9: CAIRO
This morning you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your onward flight. (B)
