DAY 1: CAIRO
On arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and transferred by air-conditioned vehicle to your overnight accommodation. Two nights at the FAIRMONT NILE CITY. (B)
DAY 2: CAIRO
After breakfast, you will be taken on a tour to visit the most famous sight in Egypt – the great Pyramids at Giza and their guardian the Sphinx. After lunch you will travel to Memphis to see the statue of Ramses II and Sakkara where you will be able to view the Step Pyramid of Zoser I. (B, L)
DAY 3: CAIRO – ABU SIMBEL – ASWAN
This morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your domestic flight to Abu Simbel. On arrival you will be taken on a guided tour of the Great Temple of Ra-Harakte which is fronted by the four colossal statues of Ramses II each measuring over 20 metres high. You will also visit the Temple of Hathor before boarding your flight to Aswan. On arrival you will be taken to board your 5 star vessel and commence your Nile Cruise. In the afternoon, you will sail on a Felucca (a traditional Egyptian sail boat) around Kitchener’s Island and the Aga Khan Mausoleum, returning to your vessel for an evening of entertainment on board. DAY 4: ASWAN – EDFU
After breakfast on board you will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries and the Temple of Philae before sailing to Kom Ombo. After lunch you will visit the temple of Kom Ombo before enjoying afternoon tea on board and a welcome cocktail. Overnight ON-BOARD. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: EDFU – LUXOR
After breakfast you will visit the Edfu Temple, also known as the Temple of Horus (the falcon-headed God), which is the most beautiful and well-preserved of all the Egyptian temples, before sailing onto Luxor. You will have the opportunity to take part in a Galabya Party on board the ship. Overnight ON-BOARD (B, L, D)
DAY 6: LUXOR
Today you will have an early start to explore the Valley of Kings on the West Bank, with the option to enter the tomb of King Tutankhamun. After lunch on board you will have an afternoon trip to the Karnak and Luxor Temples. Overnight ON-BOARD. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: LUXOR – CAIRO
This morning you will be transferred to the airport to board your domestic flight to Cairo. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Two nights at the FAIRMONT NILE CITY. (B)
DAY 8: CAIRO
After breakfast, your Egyptologist guide will take you on a fascinating tour at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where you can reflect on 7,000 years of Egyptian history. After lunch in a local restaurant you will have a guided tour of Islamic Cairo including; the Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque and Khan El Bazaar where you will have a chance to buy some souvenirs. (B, L)
DAY 9: CAIRO
This morning you will be transferred to Cairo airport for your onward flight. (B)
