Overview

The 5 star luxury Blue Train offers clients an opportunity to see South Africa at a leisurely pace. The route between Cape Town and Pretoria is a journey of 1,600 kilometres. As the ever-changing scenery flashes past the windows, guests can savour exquisite meals freshly prepared on board by top chefs. The suites on The Blue Train feature the finest bed linen, marble tiles and well appointed bathrooms.

Itinerary

Cape Town to Pretoria

DAY 1
14:30 Register and check-in at The Blue Train Lounge, Cape Town Station. Guests enjoy pre-departure snacks and drinks.
15:30 Boarding commences. Butlers usher guests to their suites. Suite orientation done by butlers.
16:00 The Blue Train departs from Cape Town Station.
16:30 High Tea is served in the Non- Smoking Lounge Car.
18:30 – 20:00 First sitting for dinner.
20:15 – 22:00 Second sitting for dinner.

DAY 2
6:00 – 9:00 Breakfast is served on a first-come first- served basis.
11:30 -13:00 First sitting for lunch.
13:15 -14:00 Second sitting for lunch.
14:00 Off-the-train excursion (weather and time permitting, including Open Mine Museum tour.
18:30 The Blue Train departs Kimberley Station for the journey Northbound to Pretoria.
18:30 – 20:00 First sitting for dinner.
20:30 – 22:00 Second sitting for dinner.

DAY 3
06:00 – 9:00 Breakfast is served on a first-come first-served basis.
10:30 Blue Train arrives at Pretoria Station.
