Rwanda Gorilla Safari

This 4-day safari travels to Parc National des Volcans in Rwanda to track the Mountain Gorillas, made famous by Dian Fossey. This short trip is designed for those with limited time who want to see, not only gorillas, but also the environment where Dian Fossey lived and worked for nearly 20 years. This safari offers omfortable 4 star accommodation.

On arrival at Kigali Airport you will be met and transferred to HOTEL DES MILLE COLLINES overnight.

This morning you will be met and taken on a Kigali city tour including a visit to the Genocide Museum, one of the most moving experiences. Late in the morning, you will continue to the place that Dian Fossey called home for many years – the foothills of the Volcanoes National Park. Two nights at MOUNTAIN GORILLA VIEW LODGE. (B, L, D)

Today you will have the opportunity to see the endangered mountain gorillas in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. After a briefing with National Parks’ personnel, you will be taken to the start of your gorilla trekking hike. Once you reach the gorilla family, you will be privileged to spend an hour watching them as they interact with each other, possibly eating, grooming or playing. This is one of the most exciting and breathtaking experiences you can have. Whilst it may take half a day to find the gorillas, it is well worth the effort. (B, L, D)

This morning you will have the opportunity for a second Gorilla Trek or Golden Monkey Trek (2nd permit required). In the afternoon you will leave for Kigali. Your safari finishes with your transfer to the airport. (B)
