DAY 1: ARRIVE NAIROBI
On arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you willbe transferred to your hotel. Two-nights at FAIRMONT THE NORFOLK HOTEL where you will be met by Richard Ruskin.
DAY 2: NAIROBI
After breakfast you will be taken on a tour of the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Centre, with lunch at Tamambo Restaurant. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (B, L, D)
DAY 3: NAIROBI – LAKE NAKURU
This morning you will be met at reception and begin your safari with a drive to Lake Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you will be taken on an afternoon game drive in the park, known for its rhino population, Defassa waterbuck, lion and aquatic birds. Two nights at SAROVA LION HILL LODGE. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU
Today you will be taken on a morning and afternoon game drives to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to amazing aquatic birdlife including flamingos. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU – OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
After breakfast, you will continue your safari driving to Ol Pejeta, where you will be taken on a game drive after lunch. Two nights at SWEETWATERS SERENA CAMP. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
Today, you will be taken on morning and afternoon game drives to see rhino and plains game as well as a visit to the Chimp Sanctuary. (B, L, D)
DAY 7: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY – KILIMANJARO
After breakfast, you will head back to Nairobi for your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred by road to the FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON ARUSHA for your overnight stay. (B, L)
DAY 8: KILIMANJARO – LAKE MANYARA – NGORONGORO CRATER
This morning, you will be driven to Lake Manyara for a game drive, followed by lunch at Lake Manyara Serena. In the afternoon you will travel by road to Ngorongoro Crater. For the next two nights you will stay at NGORONGORO SERENA SAFARI LODGE. (B, L, D)
DAY 9: NGORONGORO CRATER
This morning you will descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing and a picnic lunch. In the late afternoon you will visit a Masai Village. (B, L, D)
DAY 10: NGORONGORO CRATER – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today is a long but exciting day with most of the time spent driving through the Serengeti to MBALAGETI SERENGETI, which is located in the western corridor. You will have a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive en route to the lodge. Many clients say this is one of the highlights of the safari. (B, L, D)
DAY 11: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will be taken on morning and afternoon game drives. This park is known as one of the world’s last great wildlife refuge, home to 35 species of plains game and 500 birds. Overnight at MBALAGETI SERENGETI. (B, L, D)
DAY 12: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – MASAI MARA
This morning you will be transferred to the Grumeti Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Tarime. On arrival you will be taken by road to Migori connecting with your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be met and transferred a short distance to Kichwa Tembo in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. For the next three nights, you will stay at KICHWA TEMBO TENTED CAMP. DAYS 13 – 14: MASAI MARA
Two days spent in the Masai Mara game viewing with the option of taking a balloon safari (additional cost). The Masai Mara is host to the most spectacular array of wildlife with 320 square kilometres of open savannah, woodlands and tree-lined rivers creating an eco-system which supports huge numbers of bird and mammal species. It is here that the Wildebeest Migration should be in full swing, providing opportunities to see them amassing as well as crossing the river. (B, L, D)
DAY 15: MASAI MARA – NAIROBI
After breakfast, you will board your scheduled flight to Nairobi Wilson Airport. On arrival you will be transferred back to FAIRMONT THE NORFOLK HOTEL for your overnight stay. In the evening there will be a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)
DAY 16: DEPART NAIROBI
After breakfast you will be transferred to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your onward flight. (B)
