DAY 1: NAIROBI
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to GIRAFFE MANOR for your overnight stay. This boutique hotel is also home to a herd of Rothschild’s giraffe who are known to poke their long necks through open windows.
DAY 2: NAIROBI – SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Today you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight to Samburu National Reserve. You will then be transferred by road to SASAAB LODGE, where you will stay for two nights. This beautiful lodge is located in an area renowned for the ‘Samburu Special Five’ (Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and Beisa oryx), and commands views across the reserve towards Mt Kenya. DAY 3: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Spend the day exploring the game-rich, semi-arid reserve by partaking in a range of activities including game drives, guided bush walks, camel walks and community visits. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE – SOLIO RESERVE
After breakfast you will take a private charter flight from Sasaab to Solio Lodge, located in the Solio Reserve. The reserve is Kenya’s largest private rhino breeding reserve and sightings of large groups of rhino are not uncommon. Two nights at SOLIO LODGE. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: SOLIO RESERVE (MOUNT KENYA)
Today you may enjoy a range of activities including games drives, guided walks, horse riding and mountain biking, exploring the reserves ecosystem. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: SOLIO RESERVE – SAND RIVER (MAASAI MARA)
This morning you will fly from Nanyuki to the renowned Masai Mara – Africa’s most treasured game reserve. On arrival you will be transferred to SALA’S CAMP, in the reserves southern corner, for your three-night stay. The camp’s ideal location at the confluence of the Sand and Keekorok Rivers attracts large numbers of wildlife and is the first camp in the Mara that witnesses the great Migrahttp://salastion. DAYS 7– 8: SAND RIVER (MAASAI MARA)
Enjoy morning and late afternoon game drives or enjoy a guided bush walk to fully appreciate the sights and sounds of the wonderful Mara. The reserve is one of the best game viewing areas in Africa and is renowned for leopard, cheetah and lion sightings. (B, L, D)
DAY 9: MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI
Today you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. From here, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your hotel (not included), where your safari will be at an end. (B)
