The 5 star luxury Blue Train offers clients an opportunity to see South Africa at a leisurely pace. The route between Cape Town and Pretoria is a 27-hour journey of 1,600 kilometres. As the ever-changing scenery flashes past the windows, guests can savour exquisite meals freshly prepared on board by top chefs. Register and check-in in at 14:30 at the Blue Train Lounge, enjoying pre-departure snacks and drinks before a 15:30 boarding. Depart from Cape Town Station at 16:00 and enjoy High Tea and the rest of the afternoon at leisure. The first dinner sitting will be at 19:00 and the second at 20:45. (HT, D)
Breakfast is served from 06:00 to 09:00. Following breakfast, enjoy the scenery en route to Pretoria before a three-course lunch is served at 11:30, with a later sitting at 13:15. Explore the Open Mine Museum from 2:30 in an off-train excursion, before returning to the train in time for dinner. The first dinner sitting will be at 18:30 and the second at 20:30. (B, L, D)
