Galapagos Island Hopping

DAY 1: ARRIVE SANTA CRUZ ISLAND
On arrival, you will be met and taken to the Highlands area of Santa Cruz Island to see the famous giant Galapagos tortoises and birdlife in their natural habitat. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Puerto Ayora for check-in at your local HOTEL. (L)

DAY 2: FLOREANA ISLAND
After breakfast you will be taken by speed boat to Floreana Island. The island is riddled with mystery and has the most interesting human history of all the Galapagos islands. On the island you will visit a local farm, learning about the way of life on Floreana. After lunch, you will head to the historical site of Asilo de la Paz to view a pirate’s cave and learn about its history. (B, L, D)

DAY 3: FLOREANA ISLAND – ISABELA ISLAND
Today you will visit “La Loberia”, a sea lion breeding area on Floreana Island. Here, you will have the chance to snorkel in the turquoise waters with the possibility of swimming amongst sea lions, turtles, manta rays and a variety of coral fish. After lunch, board your speed boat and enjoy the ride to Isabela Island. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B, L)

DAY 4: ISABELA ISLAND
After breakfast you will taken to the Sierra Negra Volcano. Enjoy a 2 hour hike before reaching the crater rim where you will be able to view the crater and, if you’re lucky, spot the Galapagos Sparrow Hawk. In the afternoon you will visit the Tintoreras Islets. The clear, crystalline waters here are home to white-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos penguins, marine turtle and sea lions. You will also have the chance to see a mangrove surrounded beach; one of the few sites where marine iguanas can reproduce. (B, L)

DAY 5: ISABELA ISLAND – SANTA CRUZ ISLAND
This morning you will visit Flamingo’s Lagoon where you will enjoy a guided walk to understand the vegetation and geology of the area with the chance to see some flamingos. Continue to the island’s tortoise breeding centre before taking your boat back to Santa Cruz Island. On arrival, you will be transferred to the Charles Darwin Research Station where you will visit its Tortoise Breeding Centre. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 6: DEPART
After breakfast, visit Los Gemelos, before being transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
