Nanyukie Lodge

Having opened in October 2018 in the fabulous Eastern Serengeti, Lemala Nanyukie matches the same outstanding standards of comfort and service as the other properties in Lemala’s luxury collection, which includes the Serengeti’s Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge and Lemala Mpingo Ridge in Tarangire together with Hamerkop House by Lemala in Arusha.

Meaning ‘endless plains’ in the Maasai language, the Serengeti is undoubtedly one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas. Lemala Nanyukie is located a 60-minute drive east of the Seronera Airstrip in the park’s central region, and is superbly located with outstanding views across these fascinating ‘endless plains’. The lodge itself sits on a grassy savanna dotted with rocky kopjes and shaded by ancient giant acacia trees.

This area of the Serengeti is crossed by the thrilling wildlife spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration, but also has high-density game-viewing at all times and is well-known for its large concentration of cats, so much so that until recently this area was set aside for scientific research into predators, especially cheetah. As such, Lemala Nanyukie is open year-round, and safari activities like game drives and walks will be accompanied by Lemala’s highly-knowledgeable and experienced guides.

Mpingo Ridge Lodge

Lemala Mpingo Ridge sits on top of an escarpment with sweeping views across the perennial Tarangire River and valley below and matches the same outstanding standards of comfort and service as the other properties in Lemala’s collection.

Being the sixth largest national park in Tanzania, Tarangire remains slightly off the main safari circuit but is a terrifically scenic park featuring classic African savannah, green hills, woodlands and rivers and is especially famous for its large herds of elephants, superb birdlife and giant baobab trees. Guests at Lemala Mpingo Ridge will enjoy a real sense of wilderness and excellent game viewing, and it’s both a relaxing standalone destination and a great place to start a safari that also combines Lemala properties in the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti.

Hamerkop House

Hamerkop House is private house located on a wildlife and golf estate, Kiligolf, situated halfway between Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha, and offers a great place to start or finish your safari. It is perfect for couples, families or small groups travelling together. Each bedroom is en suite with a private verandah and lounge. The house can be taken on a private exclusive use basis or shared and can be booked on a full board or all-inclusive basis.

Klein's Camp

Klein’s Camp is an exclusive safari lodge situated on the north-eastern edge of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The area offers exceptional year-round Big 5 game viewing and is perfectly placed to experience the annual wildebeest migration that passes through the park. Klein’s Camp is made up of 10 cottages, set on the edge of the Kuka Hills with sweeping views of the valley below. Each cottage is beautifully decorated in a rugged safari style and features an en-suite bathroom, private veranda, hairdryer, mosquito net, safe and underfloor heating. The veranda offers spectacular views and the chance to enjoy game viewing from the comfort of your own suite. There is a swimming pool, a library, a dining room and bar.

Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp

Lemala Ngorongoro is an intimate camp on the eastern rim of the crater offering accommodation in spacious canvas tents, amidst an acacia forest. The location allows for easy access to the crater, and prime game viewing. The intimate camp features 12 tents, as well as a mess tent that is beautifully furnished. Meals are served al fresco or inside the mess and all guests are invited to sit together at dinner time.

Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp

Located in the remote Western Corridor of the Serengeti, Grumeti provides a private Serengeti experience with exclusive game viewing in some of the most secluded parts of Africa’s most famous game reserve. Its rustic yet sophisticated safari tents are tucked into the shade of an evergreen forest on the banks of a tributary of the famous Grumeti River. A resident pod of hippo grunts and grumbles from beneath a layer of luscious green water weeds in the tranquil pool in front of the camp.

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

The Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is situated on the edge of the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. The design follows the Maasai mud-and-stick manyatta (homestead) style. The colonial-style interiors combine silver, gold and ruby colours under banana-leaf ceilings and grass roofs. Each room has a central living area and viewing decks overlooking the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater Lodge can provide some of the best game viewing drives into the crater. Bush walks around the lodge are also available, as well as excursions to Olduvai Gorge.

Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

One of the only lodges in Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge features 10 elegant, stilted tree house suites. Each of the tree house suites are luxuriously furnished with elegant decor and unique views into the forest canopy from the viewing deck. The lodge has a boma with a log fire in the evening and a swimming pool and spa offering a range of massages and beauty treatments.
