Gorilla Fly-In Safari

Overview

This safari is tailor-made for those with limited time, allowing you to experience the beauty of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park over two days. This is the best place in Uganda to see the gorillas in their natural habitat or to see the chimpanzees on an excursion to Ngamba Island. It is essential that you purchase your gorilla permits when you book.

Itinerary

DAY 1: ENTEBBE
Upon arrival to Entebbe airport you will be met and transferred to HOTEL NO. 5 for your overnight stay. A visit to Ngamba Island can be arranged if time permits.

DAY 2: ENTEBBE – BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
This morning you will be taken to your scheduled flight to Kihihi airstrip, where you will be met and transferred to BUHOMA LODGE for your two-night stay. An afternoon forest walk or cultural visit may be done at additional cost. (FI)

DAY 3: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Today you can take an early morning trek into the forest on the slopes of mountains in search of the mountain gorillas (excludes Gorilla Trek permit cost). You will return either in time for lunch or later depending on the location of the gorillas. (FI)

DAY 4: BWINDI – ENTEBBE
After breakfast you will be transferred to Kihihi airstrip for your scheduled flight to Entebbe. (B)

Excludes gorilla trekking permits – current price USD 700. Prices increasing to USD 800 from 01 July 2024. Minimum age for gorilla trekking is 15 years. There is also an optional forest or community walk in Bwindi, and an optional
excursion to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary from Entebbe (time permitting).
