DAY 1: ARRIVE ANTANANARIVO
On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar. The city boasts bustling market places, incredible royal palaces and churches. Overnight at RELAIS DE PLATEAUX or similar.
DAYS 2 – 3: ANTANANARIVO – DIEGO SUAREZ – MONTAGNE D’AMBRE
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Diego Suarez. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Montagne d’Ambre National Park where you will check in to NATURE LODGE or LITCHI TREE or similar. Spend the following day exploring the park and its unique ecosystem, flora and fauna. You will have the chance to see seven species of lemur, mongoose and a variety of reptiles. (B, L)
DAY 4: MONTAGNE D’AMBRE – ANKARANA RESERVE
Today you will be transferred to Ankarana, a nature reserve that features beautiful scenery, caves, underground rivers and a diverse range of wildlife. See the limestone ‘tsingy’ formations and explore the cave system, which is home to bat-filled grottoes. Two nights at ANKARANA LODGE. (B, D)
DAY 5: ANKARANA
Spend a full day in the Ankarana Reserve, exploring the rich vegetation, flora and fauna. (B, D)
DAY 6: ANKIFY – NOSY BE
After breakfast you will be driven to Ankify, a small beachside village. From here you will be transferred by boat to Nosy Be. Upon arrival, check in to RAVINTSARA WELLNESS HOTEL for your two-night stay. Known as the “island of perfumes”, Nosy Be is covered in palm trees and bougainvillea. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and sparkling blue waters of its beaches. (B)
DAY 7: NOSY BE
Enjoy a day at leisure. You can visit the Lokobe Reserve, where you will have the chance to see endemic wildlife such as lemurs, birds and chameleons. Alternatively, explore the surrounding islands on a day cruise. Offering both snorkelling and diving opportunities, the area is home to fantastic corals, clown fish, manta rays and starfish. (B)
DAY 8: NOSY BE – DEPART ANTANANARIVO
Today you will be transferred to the airport for you flight to Antananarivo. From here, you will board your onward flight. This marks the end of the tour. (B)
