Ultimate Sri Lanka Wildlife Safari

DAY 1: ARRIVE COLOMBO – NEGOMBO
On arrival in Colombo, you will be met and transferred to Negombo. Overnight at your HOTEL.

DAY 2: NEGOMBO – WILPATTU – ANURADHAPURA
After breakfast, you will travel by road to Wilpattu National Park, one of the best areas to see Sri Lankan leopards. It is also home to healthy populations of elephant, sloth bear, deer and buffalo. From Wilpattu you will head to Anuradhapura. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 3: ANURADHAPURA – SIGIRIYA/KANDALAMA
After breakfast you will be driven to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a World Heritage Site, for a tour. You will then head to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 4: POLONNARUWA – SIGIRIYA SIGIRIYA / KANDALAMA
After breakfast you will be taken to Polonnaruwa for a tour of the city. Polonnaruwa is a great example of ancient culture and heritage with resting Buddha statues, fantastically carved Hindu sculptures and beautiful architecture. In the afternoon you will be taken on a safari in Wasgamuwa National Park. Overnight at your hotel in Sigiriya/Kandalama.(B)

DAY 5: KANDALAMA – DAMBULLA – KANDY
After breakfast you will head to Kandy with a stop at Dambulla to see the famous Rock Cave Temple and Matale to visit the spice garden, en route. From Matale you will head to Kandy and then on to your HOTEL for your two night stay. (B)

DAY 6: KANDY
After breakfast, your morning is at leisure until the afternoon when you will be taken on a city tour followed by a cultural show in the evening. (B)

DAY 7: KANDY – UDAWALAWE
After breakfast, you will be taken to Kandyan Manor for a cooking demostration with it’s owner – Suzi Ratwatte, who will also take you shopping to the local markets for the ingredients. From there you will travel to Udawalawe and to your HOTEL for your two night stay. (B)

DAY 8: UDAWALAWE
Today you will be taken for a morning tour to Udawalawe National Park and the Elephant Transfer Home, a facility to rehabilitate orphaned baby elephants and return them to the wild. The afternoon will be at leisure. (B)

DAY 9: UDAWALAWE – YALA
After breakfast you will be driven to Yala. On arrival you will check in to your HOTEL for your two-night stay. (B)

DAY 10: YALA
Today you will be taken on a morning and afternoon jeep safari in Yala National Park, travelling by jeep. (B)

DAY 11: YALA – GALLE
Today you will head to Galle, where the rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at your HOTEL. (B)

DAY 12: GALLE – HIKKADUWA / AHUNGALLA
After breakfast you will be driven to either Ahungalla or Hikkaduwa for a two-night stay at your HOTEL. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

DAY 13: HIKKADUWA / AHUNGALLA
A day of leisure to enjoy the beach or a range of optional excursions. (B)

DAY 14: HIKKADUWA / AHUNGALLA – COLOMBO
This morning you will return to Colombo for a city tour. On completion, enjoy dinner at Rajabojun restaurant before being transferred to Colombo Airport for your onward flight. (B)
