Itinerary

DAY 1: COLOMBO – NEGOMBO
On arrival at Bandaraike International airport, you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to UGA RIVA in Negombo.

DAY 2: NEGOMBO – ANURADHAPURA
After breakfast, you will be taken on a tour of Anuradhapura – the first capital of Sri Lanka – which is regarded as one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Two nights at ULAGALLA RESORT. (B)

DAY 3: ANURADHAPURA
Today you will be taken on a full day tour to Sigiriya to visit the 5th century rock citadel of King Kasyapa. Sigiriya is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is regarded as one of the finest monuments of art & culture. Continue to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, another World Heritage Site featuring stupas, resting Buddha statues, irrigation canals and fantastically carved Hindu sculptures. Return to your hotel for your overnight stay at ULAGALLA RESORT. (B)

DAY 4: ANURADHAPURA – PASSIKUDAH
After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Trincomalee, with a city tour enroute. The rest of the day will be at leisure, for you to enjoy the area. Three nights at UGA BAY. (B)

DAY 5: PASSIKUDAH
Enjoy today at leisure, with the chance to relax on the pristine beach or take a dip in the calm, shallow waters. (B)

DAY 6: PASSIKUDAH
Enjoy today at leisure. (B)

DAY 7: PASSIKUDAH – HATTON
After breakfast, you will be met and transferred to UGA HALLOOWELLA in Hatton for your three night stay. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. (AI)

DAY 8: HATTON
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Hatton, exploring the captivating area or simply taking in the breathtaking views from your accommodation. (AI)

DAY 9: HATTON
Enjoy a full day at leisure. (AI)

DAY 10: HATTON – YALA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will be met and transferrred to UGA CHENA HUTS in Yala National Park. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy the accommodation and unwind in your tranquil surroundings. (AI)

DAY 11: YALA NATIONAL PARK
Today you will enjoy a full day safari at Yala National Park, which has the highest density of leopards in the world. It also has herds of elephant, sloth bear, spotted deer, wild pig, and jackal and over 30 species of birds. (AI)

DAY 12: YALA – TANGALLE
After breakfast, you will be transferred to UGA PRAVA, a beachfront retreat where you will spend two nights. The evening is at your leisure. (HB)

DAY 13: TANGALLE
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure. (HB)

DAY 14: TANGALLE – COLOMBO
Today you will be transferred to Colombo where you will enjoy a tour of Galle enroute. Visit the iconic Galle Fort, Dutch Reformed Church, lighthouse and see the Portugese and Dutch architectural influences on the city. Afterwards, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay at MANIUMPATHY HOTEL. (B)

DAY 15: COLOMBO
After breakfast, you will enjoy a Colombo city tour, including a visit to the crystal white Race Course – a horse racing hub in 1893 and a World War II airstrip. Afterwards, you will continue to Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Gangarama Temple and the Arcade Independence Square shopping complex. At the completion of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the evening, you will be met by your guide and transferred to the airport in time for your onward flight, marking the end of your journey. (B)
