DAY 1: MUMBAI
Today, you will board the Deccan Odyssey at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. After a traditional welcome, the train will begin its journey to Vadodara. Overnight ON- BOARD. (D)
DAY 2: VADODARA
This morning the train arrives to its first destination, Vadodara, once the seat of the Gaekwad rulers. Visit UNESCO World Heritage site, Champaner-Pavagadh Archaelogical Park, Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum and enjoy high tea at Laxmi Vilas Palace. Overnight ON-BOARD as the train winds its way to Udaipur. (B, L, D, HT)
DAY 3: UDAIPUR
After breakfast on-board, you will be taken on a tour of Udaipur. Return to the train for lunch, before returning to the city for a tour of historic Old Udaipur. Overnight ON-BOARD as the train heads to Jodhpur. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: JODHPUR
This morning you will enter Jodhpur, the former capital of the Mar kingdom and backdropped by the endless Thar Desert. Enjoy today at leisure, with options to visit a local Bishnoi tribal village or indulge in a relaxing spa treatment. After lunch, you will be taken on a tour of the city including the iconic Mehrangarh Fort. Overnight ON-BOARD as the train heads to Jaipur. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: JAIPUR
Today you will visit the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur. After breakfast, visit the historic Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar. After lunch, enjoy the afternoon at your leisure- opt for another spa day or explore the bustling markets of this lively city. Overnight ON-BOARD as the train heads to Agra. (B, L, D)
DAY 6: AGRA
After breakfast, you will disembark to visit the unmissable Taj Mahal. Built by the Emperor Shah Jahan as a monument of his love for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the striking mausoleum took 22 years to build. Enjoy lunch, before visiting the Itmad-ud-Daulah tomb and Agra Fort. Your afternoon is at leisure, with the choice of an indulgent spa session or exploring the local markets. Overnight ON- BOARD as the train heads to Sawai Madhopur. (B, L, D, HT)
DAY 7: SAWAI MADHOPUR – RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will arrive into Sawai Madhopur. Enjoy an early breakfast before embarking on a wildlife safari inside Ranthambore National Park. Here, you will have the chance to spot big cats, as well as other species such as nilgai, sambhar, sloth bear, chital and many species of migratory birds. Return to the train for lunch, before a enjoying a local village excursion. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to enjoy high tea at a popular hunting lodge in the region with the royal family of the region. Afterwards, return to the train for dinner. Overnight ON-BOARD as the train heads to Mumbai. (B, L, HT, D)
DAY 8: NEW DELHI
Today, the train returns to Delhi Cantt Railway Station. After breakfast, you will disembark, marking the end of the journey. (B)
