Visit Varanasi, thought to be one of the world’s oldest inhabited cities, and witness an entrancing aarti ceremony on the Ganges River. Continue to Agra, home of the captivating Taj Mahal, where emperor Shah Jahan enshrined his love for his wife in stone. Embark on game drives in Ranthambore National Park, famous for its tiger population. Celebrate India’s most popular festival, Diwali, in the pink city of Jaipur, before concluding your tour in splendid Udaipur, the city of lakes.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi (21st October, 2024) 

On arrival at New Delhi IGI Airport you will be met and transferred to the LE MERIDIEN HOTEL for your three-night stay. 

Day 2: Delhi (22nd October, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be taken on a tour of Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort and see the Jama Masjid, before enjoying a rickshaw ride through the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a well-known local restaurant. (B, D) 

Day 3: Delhi (23rd October, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be taken on a guided tour of New Delhi. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Gandhi Smriti before lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, visit the Lotus Temple, Connaught Place and drive past Rajpath and India Gate. Time permitting, explore the local markets. (B, L)

Day 4: Delhi – Varanasi (24th October, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel to spend the remainder of the day at your leisure. In the evening, enjoy the opportunity to witness the spiritual Aarti Ceremony on the banks of the River Ganges, with a rickshaw ride to and from. Two nights at TAJ GANGES (B, D) 

Day 5: Varanasi (25th October, 2024) 

At sunrise, you will be taken on a boat ride on the River Ganges, followed by a tour through the narrow streets and ghats of Varanasi, before seeing Kashi Vishawanath Temple. After breakfast, visit Ramnagar Fort, before lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, visit Sarnath.  (B, L) 

Day 6: Varanasi – Agra (26th October, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in Agra (approx. 4 hour journey). Two nights at the RADISSON AGRA. (B, D) 

Day 7: Agra (27th October, 2024) 

Early in the morning, you will be taken on a sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal. Afterwards, visit the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daula, the Agra Fort and an impressive marble inlay factory. (B, D) 

Day 8: Agra – Ranthambore (28th October, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Ranthambore, visiting the magnificent ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri en-route. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, before continuing to Ranthambore. Upon arrival, check in to DEV VILAS RANTHAMBORE for your two-night stay. (B, L, D) 

Day 9: Ranthambore (29th October, 2024) 

Today you will be taken on morning and afternoon game drives in Ranthambore National Park. It is one of the largest parks in northern India and is one of the best places in India to see the elusive tiger. (B, L, D) 

Day 10: Ranthambore – Jaipur (30th October, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Jaipur, visiting the Abhaneri Stepwells enroute. In the evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner at the home of a local family. Three nights at the JAIPUR MARRIOTT. (B, L, D) 

Day 11: Jaipur (31st October, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be taken on a full day tour of Jaipur. Visit the 17th Century Amber Fort, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal, also known as ‘Palace of the Winds’. Later in the day, you can also visit the local markets. Afterwards, enjoy dinner at a specialty restaurant, with local Rajasthani folk music and dance. (B, D) 

Day 12: Jaipur (1st November, 2024) 

The day is at leisure and all about celebrating Diwali. Known as the festival of lights, Diwali celebrates light overcoming darkness, and good prevailing over evil. Diwali is the most widely celebrated and popular festival in India, celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists alike. People light lamps, set off fireworks and exchange gifts. The holiday derives its name from the words ‘deepa’ (meaning clay lamps) and ‘avali’ (meaning row) and is both a captivating sight and experience. In the evening, attend a Diwali celebration involving a fireworks show, sweets, soft drinks and dinner. (B, D)

Day 13: Jaipur – Udaipur (2nd November, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be transferred by road to Udaipur. En-route, visit Chittogarh Fort, followed by lunch. Afterwards continue to TAJ ARAVALI in Udaipur, where you will stay for two nights. (B, L) 

Day 14: Udaipur (3rd November, 2024) 

After breakfast, you will be taken on a city tour, visiting the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and an elegant garden called Saheliyon-Ki-Bari. You will also enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola, followed by a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D) 

Day 15: Udaipur – Delhi (4th November, 2024) 

Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Delhi, where you will board your onward flight. This will mark the end of your tour. (B)
