Paying homage to cult writer Charles Bukowski, the club honours the man’s genius in more than just name. Set in a beautiful old mansion on an otherwise quiet, residential Botafogo street, with what seems to be a never-ending queue around the block. Arriving early is definitely a must if you want a seat in the huge courtyard with outdoor bar around the back of the building. Inside, the resident DJ Rafael Barreto keeps the party going with a never-ending selection of good old rock’n’roll. Open on Friday and Saturday nights; prepare yourself for a night of rock and good vibes.

A sports bar every night except Mondays where it turns into a Jazz bar. The walls are donned with soccer memorabilia from top to bottom with posters and jerseys of soccer teams from around the world but mainly Brazil. The bar has a lively atmosphere with well-priced food and drinks. Many people rate the Jazz musicians that play at São Cristovão at the same level as musicians in Blue Note jazz clubs around the world.
