Party in Brazil…

Millennial travellers are always looking for new and exciting experiences. Brazil delivers that and so much more with a party scene like nowhere else. Here are some clubs and bars worth checking out…

Casa da Matriz, Rio de Janeiro

With two floors and various parties each night, you won’t be disappointed with the liveliness and excitement of this nightclub. Moreover, music features an eclectic mix of tunes with everything from hip-hop, alternative, punk, funk and soul. Karaoke nights as well as themed nights are  some of the greatest nights at Casa da Matriz. The dress code is fairly casual with a hipster chic vibe.

Bar Bukowski, Rio de Janeiro

Paying homage to cult writer Charles Bukowski, the club honours the man’s genius in more than just name. Set in a beautiful old mansion on an otherwise quiet, residential Botafogo street, with what seems to be a never-ending queue around the block. Arriving early is definitely a must if you want a seat in the huge courtyard with outdoor bar around the back of the building. Inside, the resident DJ Rafael Barreto keeps the party going with a never-ending selection of good old rock’n’roll. Open on Friday and Saturday nights; prepare yourself for a night of rock and good vibes.

The venue has balconies providing a good place to take a break from the dance floor and sip your drink as you watch the revellers on the street below. A sports bar every night except Mondays where it turns into a Jazz bar. The bar has a lively atmosphere with well-priced food and drinks. The pinnacle of underground house and techno music in Brazil; Warung Beach Club is located in a lush green forest next to the white sand and blue waves of Praia Brava beach. Warung’s mythical vibe entices everyone that steps through its wooden arches. While its not the easiest place to get to, being located on a beach in between the Brazilian cities of Balneario Camboriu and Itajai, don’t let that stop you from going. Surrounded by nothing but forest, sand and water, this elusive club keeps the party going till 6am every night.
