 Lake Manyara

Famous for its incredible tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara is spectacular with its large trees and open plains. In addition to its lions, Lake Manyara is also home to a variety of other wildlife; in particular, primates including olive baboons, black faced vervet monkeys and Sykes monkeys.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater is home to one of the world’s largest and most intact calderas. The crater is a large, unbroken, un-flooded caldera, formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed some three million years ago. Aside from the main attraction, Ngorongoro Crater is home to incredible game, with the highest density of lions in Africa, along with strong numbers of black rhino, leopard, spotted hyenas and plenty of plains game.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is the most famous national park in the world. This massive reserve is filled with vast open plains.  Game viewing in the Serengeti is beyond words, especially during the annual wildebeest migration, where almost two million wildebeest, zebra, eland and Thomson’s gazelle follow the annual rains across the Serengeti to the adjacent Masai Mara National Reserve. As well as extensive plains game, the Serengeti is home to lion, leopard, elephant and cheetah in the park.
